- Are you licensed, and insured?
Yes. We are fully licensed, and carry commercial liability insurance. We can provide proof upon request.
- What is the maximum group size?
Per District of North Vancouver regulations, we limit our group hikes to a maximum of 6 dogs at one time. However, our usual group hikes are comprised of 3 dogs.
- What are the requirements for my dog to join?
Your dog must be: 1. Well-socialized and non-aggressive. 2. Fully vaccinated (we will share more details once you contact us). 3. Spayed or neutered if over 1 year old. 4. Have a reliable, strong recall.
- What if my dog gets injured?
All our walkers are certified in Pet First Aid and CPR. We will immediately contact you, administer first aid, and transport your dog to your designated vet or the nearest emergency animal hospital.
- Where do the group hikes take place?
Our hikes are on designated off-leash trails and parks in North Vancouver and West Vancouver. We vary the locations to provide mental stimulation.
- How long is the service?
Our services typically last 2 to 4 hours (including pick-up and drop-off). The actual trail time is usually a full 60 to 90 minutes of active exercise.
- Do you offer pick-up and drop-off service?
Yes, we offer door-to-door service within our service area (North Vancouver and West Vancouver). This is included in the price.
- How do you get access to my home?
Most clients provide us with a copy of their house key or a lock-box/access code. Keys are kept securely and are not labeled with your address.
- Will my dog be wet or muddy when dropped off?
A: We walk rain or shine. We will always towel dry your dog before entering your home and top up their water bowl. During rainy days, we recommend customers to put jackets on their furry friends before our service.
- How will I know how my dog did?
We provide a report after every hike, usually via text or email. This includes a photo, a summary of their activity, and notes on their mood and bathroom breaks.
- What is your cancellation policy?
We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel a scheduled hike to avoid being charged the full rate.
- How and when do I pay?
We typically invoice clients on the 1st of the month for the next month's services. Payment is accepted via e-transfer (EFT) or credit card.
Q: Do you offer discounts for multiple dogs?
Yes, we offer a discount for every extra dog from the same household.
- How do I get started?
The first step is a free consultation/meet-and-greet at your home, where we will share more details of the services and arrange the following hikes/walks.
- What exactly is included in a drop-in visit?
A 15-30 minute visit includes a short potty break in the yard or a quick leashed walk, feeding, refreshing water, administering any necessary medication, quick playtime, litter box scooping (for cats), and basic cuddling/attention.
- How many drop-in visits can I book in one day?
We can schedule as many visits as your pet requires, typically spaced throughout the day (morning, lunch, evening) to maintain their routine.
- Can you handle administering medication?
Yes, we are comfortable administering medications, provided we receive clear, written instructions during the consultation.
